Thursday Fun: Watcher Story Prompt

Okay, y’all. It’s time for our monthly story/ poem prompt! Last time, you might remember that we used the poem “The Listeners” as a prompt. Well, this month, we’re using an image. One of my all-time favorites, too. Maxfield Parrish’s “Daybreak.”

Tell me that is not the sort of thing we Merry Sisters eat for breakfast.

Okay, so here’s the challenge. Using the image as a starting place (or ending place)(or middle place)(I’m easy)(not like that), write a story or poem (it can be as short as one line or as long as a novel), post it on your blog, and then comment here so that everyone can wander over and stare at it (one last parenthetical comment here).

Sound fun? It is. I’ll be doing mine for my Friday fic tomorrow. Hope to see a bunch of comments from you guys!

  1. I found this one to be much more difficult than the poem. I wonder if it’s the beginning of a pattern, or just my current state of mind.
